My friend Rick got out of the Navy in Seattle, so I flew out there to drive his car back home with him. On my flight out, I got to chat with this guy named Russell who is a nuclear engineer. While in Seattle I checked out the Boeing Museum of Flight with Rick and Kate. We also checked out EMP (Experience Music Project) and the Science Fiction Museum. I also got to visit the original Starbucks, which was pretty cool. After hanging out in Seattle for a few days, Rick and I set off for our 2,000+ mile journey in his 350Z. We drove town to Portland and then started cutting across through Oregon and into Idaho. Once we got into Wyoming, we checked out the Grand Tetons, which were pretty cool. We then headed through the Wind River Canyon and dipped our feet in the "World's largest hot spring," which stunk of sulfur. Further in Wyoming, we hiked around Devil's Tower (made famous by the movie "Close Encounters of the Third Kind"). Once we got into South Dakota, we visited the Black Hills, Mount Rushmore, and Mount Rushmore Cave. After that we drove through the Badlands and over to Sioux Falls. From there, we headed north to Grand Forks. The photos in the slideshow are just some quick snapshots from my point-and-shoot. I will post some of the ones I took with the SLR later on if I remember.
